In an attempt to get the word out about Mitochondrial Disease, Doug and Linda Wilkinson and the Wilkinson Family, in conjunction with Clovis Unified School District , are creating the Brittany Wilkinson Annual Art Contest! While Mitochondrial Disease is a rather unknown disease, Governor Schwarzenegger on behalf of the State of California made September 20-26 th Mito Awareness Week . In addition to the week in September, awareness will be continuing all year long, as there is not a cure as of yet.
